Abstract: In this article being a literature review, defines an agenda for research which will identify problems within existing mathematics text, material used by teachers and pupils in primary school in developing materials and better mathematics learning by children. The agenda will be defined by reference to existing research knowledge as it relates to the seven main areas of difficult set out above.
