Abstract: Zimbabwe completed a reading literacy research study at the Junior Secondary School Certificate (JC) level in December, 1992. This study was coordinated and partly sponsored by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA). Thirty other countries took part in the same research study at the same grade levels.
