dc.description.abstractUrinary tract infections are common, and can now be managed very effectively. Management should not only have as its goal the removal of symptoms but also the elimination of the bacteriuria which may underline them, the detection and prevention of recurrences, and finally the identification of patients with abnormal or damaged urinary tracts.
