To prepare teachers for all levels of secondary education through the B.Ed , (B. Ed Spec.Hons), Grad. C .E Part-time and Grad. C .E Full-time programmes; Train specialists and researchers in the Curriculum and Arts Education through the Postgraduate Diploma (De (Ca)) , M.Ed. ,M.Plil and D.Phil programmes; To serve the wider community through participation in the community programmes and Projects that call for expertise possessed by the staff and students in the Department.
