Abstract: This study assesses the incremental validity of cash incentive satisfaction over affective commitment, procedural justice and leadership trust in predicting OCB. The study also assesses the direction and strength of the relationship between OCB and its predictors of affective commitment, procedural justice, leadership trust and incentive satisfaction. 112 public school teachers from ten randomly chosen schools participated. The results showed that cash incentive satisfaction had incremental validity over the other three predictors in predicting OCB with variance accounted for jumping from 22% to 26.9%, an improvement significant at alpha level .05. The R values for affective commitment, procedural justice and leadership trust were .35, .458 and .469respectively. The R square values were .122, .209 and .269 respectively. The results also showed that there are positive relationships between OCB and the stated predictors with the strongest being between OCB and incentive satisfaction (36.1%) and the weakest was between OCB and leadership trust (21.6%). The results are important as they help authorities to influence OCBs in schools though the findings may apply to other settings. The theoretical and practical implications of the findings area also discussed.
