<description>Schism in Pentecostal churches: a case study of Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) in Zimbabwe 2018 great schism
Musariri, John
This dissertation has been an analysis of the causes of schism in Pentecostalism with special focus on the great schism of 2018 in the AFM in Zimbabwe. Qualitative research methodology has been used in this research through unstructured interviews. The dissertation explored schism in the Early Church with special focus on the Johannine community which is evidence to the fact that schism were experienced since the early history of Christianity. AFM in Zimbabwe is regarded as the mother of Pentecostalism in Zimbabwe. Since its existence in Zimbabwe, there were a number of individuals who broke away and formed their ministries. However, a great schism was witnessed in the year 2018 where apart from other individuals who started their own ministries, two major groups emerged, both claiming the same name and assets as they regard themselves the authentic AFM in Zimbabwe. One group supports the AFM in Zimbabwe constitutional reforms while the other condemns the constitutional reforms. The study investigated on the causes and impact of this great schism in AFM in Zimbabwe. The dissertation concluded that the impact of the schism has both positive and negative effects. It was discovered that the AFM in Zimbabwe is continuously facing schisms since the 1930s. Apart from other causes, doctrinal differences are the major causes of splits throughout the phases of schisms in the AFM in Zimbabwe.

<description>The contribution of African traditional religion (A.T.R.) to the environmental crisis as key to poverty reduction with special reference to Mhondoro district in Mashonaland West province.
Chikunguru, Precious
This is a study of the contribution of African Traditional Religion to the environmental crisis as&#13;
key to poverty reduction. The study focuses on the areas of Mhondoro-Ngezi and Mubaira&#13;
District. The environmental crisis and the poverty crisis are among the major challenges the&#13;
people in Mhondoro are facing. This study argues that, the Shona people of Mhondoro conserve&#13;
the environment well through their taboos, totems and belief systems. Taboos and totems have&#13;
been used successfully to promote natural resource conservation, that is, the land, animals, water&#13;
bodies, mountains, forests and trees. The study argues that, these practices are helping in the&#13;
reduction of poverty in Mhondoro.

<description>Opportunities and challenges for women’s participation in the informal sector: a case of artisanal gold panning in, Mukaradzi, Mount Darwin district, Zimbabwe.
Pachena, Austin
The research focused on the opportunities and challenges for women’s participation in the informal sector and a particular focus was on artisanal women gold miners in Mukaradzi, Mt Darwin district. The objectives of the study were to access the social and economic benefits that comes from participation in artisanal gold mining, the challenges faced in participating in the artisanal gold mining and the copying mechanisms employed by artisanal women gold miners for them to remain in the artisanal mining business. A qualitative research approach was used as the researcher wanted to understand artisanal women gold miners in their natural state. In-depth interviews, focus group discussions, life histories and field observations were used for data collection. The study used a sample of 13 participants drawn from artisanal women gold miners. These participants were selected using the convenience sampling technique due to their availability in large numbers in Mukaradzi as well as their willingness to participate in the study. Data analysis was done using thematic content analysis. The study findings show that artisanal gold mining is a source of livelihood to most people in Mt Darwin district. However, from the findings, artisanal women gold miners face a myriad of challenges. These include gender inequalities in artisanal mining sector, sexual harassment and abuse, cultural marginalization and gendered labour dynamics, limited knowledge in the artisanal mining sector, as well as health related challenges. The study concluded that, although women face a number of challenges, artisanal gold mining proved to be their source of livelihood. The research summed up by recommending that the government and non-governmental organizations should continue educating people on issues of gender equality in all sectors of the economy. The government should review and amend regulatory instruments that criminalize artisanal mining activities since the study has shown that it is a source of livelihood to a number of people.

<link>https://hdl.handle.net/10646/4782</link>
<description>An investigation of the impact of big data analytics of firm performance on mobile network operators in Zimbabwe
Makomo, Marvin

mobile operators in Zimbabwe. The case of NetOne Cellular (Pvt) Ltd’, Telecel Zimbabwe&#13;
and Econet Wireless. The research was both exploratory and descriptive in nature. The data&#13;
was collected through the use of a questionnaire and face to face interviews. The target&#13;
population was965 individuals comprising of all NetOne, Econet and Telecel employees both&#13;
managerial and non-managerial employees. The sample drawn was of 275 individuals who&#13;
were made up of executives, senior managers, middle managers, supervisors and operational&#13;

relationship between big data analytics management and corporate performance. The study&#13;
showed that big data analytics infrastructure, analytics skills or knowledge and a unique mix&#13;
of big data analytics capabilities is a critical determinant of corporate performance. It was&#13;
recommended that mobile operators should develop an overall Big Data capability in order&#13;
for them to gain a competitive advantage. To develop such an overall capability in Big Data,&#13;
mobile operators should enhance their technological resources, use them to facilitate internal&#13;
operations, encourage their employees to develop Big Data analytical skills, and align their&#13;
Big Data competences with their strategic goals. The organization creates a culture that&#13;
